Why Indian Turmeric

The World's Gold Standard for Curcumin

India produces over 75% of the world’s turmeric. Our powder is sourced from regions that consistently deliver the highest curcumin content on the planet.

Potent Anti-Inflammatory

Curcumin is one of nature's most powerful anti-inflammatory compounds, clinically proven to match several pharmaceutical drugs in efficacy without side effects.

Strong Antioxidant

Curcumin neutralises free radicals and stimulates the body's own antioxidant enzymes, key for anti-aging formulations and wellness supplements.

Heart Health Support

Research indicates curcumin improves endothelial function, the lining of blood vessels, playing a role in cardiovascular health and cholesterol management.

Brain & Cognitive Function

Curcumin boosts levels of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), linked to improved memory, mood regulation, and reduced risk of neurodegenerative conditions.

Joint & Mobility Support

Widely used in joint-care supplements. Clinical studies show curcumin reduces joint pain and stiffness, a key selling point for sports nutrition and senior wellness

Digestive Wellness

Turmeric stimulates bile production and supports gut health. Used in traditional Ayurvedic and TCM formulations for centuries, now backed by modern clinical research.

Frequently Asked Questions

Turmeric Export FAQ

Answers to the questions international buyers ask most. Need more detail? Reach out directly.

What curcumin percentage can you guarantee?

We offer three curcumin tiers: standard (3% minimum), high (5% minimum), and premium (7%+ minimum), all tested by HPLC method at NABL-accredited labs. The curcumin content depends on the turmeric variety and origin, Alleppey Finger and Salem varieties typically deliver the highest curcumin levels. Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis confirming the exact curcumin percentage.

Which turmeric variety do you recommend for food-grade use?

For food and culinary applications, we recommend Sangli and Rajapore varieties, they offer vibrant golden colour, strong aroma, and curcumin content of 3–5%, which is ideal for curry powders, spice blends, and golden milk products. For nutraceutical and pharma applications requiring higher curcumin, Alleppey Finger or Salem varieties at 5–7%+ are more suitable.

Is the turmeric tested for lead and heavy metals?

Yes. Every batch is tested for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury content at accredited labs. Our turmeric meets EU, FDA, and FSSAI permissible limits for heavy metals. We also test for aflatoxin B1 and total aflatoxins. Full heavy metal and contaminant reports are included in the Certificate of Analysis provided with each shipment.

Can you supply organic-certified turmeric?

Yes. We work with NPOP-certified (India Organic) turmeric farms. For exports requiring USDA Organic, EU Organic, or JAS certification, we arrange supply from certified organic farming cooperatives. Organic-certified orders require 2–3 weeks additional lead time and a minimum order of 500 kg. Transaction certificates are provided.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum order is 100 kg for trial shipments. Recurring contracts are recommended at 500 kg or above to optimise freight costs per kilogram. We also supply small evaluation samples of 1–5 kg for buyers testing quality, colour, and curcumin content before committing to bulk orders.

How do you ensure there's no adulteration?

Adulteration is the single biggest concern in the turmeric trade. We address it through direct farm-to-factory sourcing, pre-procurement quality audits, and mandatory lab testing for artificial colour (metanil yellow, sudan dye), starch adulteration, and synthetic curcumin. Our suppliers undergo annual audits. We do not source from aggregated wholesale markets where adulteration risk is highest.

What are the payment and shipping terms?

Standard terms: 30% advance against proforma invoice, 70% against shipping documents. We accept T/T bank transfer, L/C at sight, and other standard international payment methods. Shipping: FOB, CIF, CFR, and DDP terms available. We work with trusted freight forwarders for sea (FCL/LCL), air, and courier shipments to all major ports worldwide.

What is the typical lead time?

For stocked standard-grade turmeric (up to 1 ton), dispatch within 7–10 working days. For high-curcumin or organic-certified grades, allow 15–25 working days for procurement, processing, and testing. Ocean freight adds 20–35 days depending on destination. A complete delivery timeline is included in every quotation.
